Volunteering Opportunities with York LGBT Forum
If you’re thinking about volunteering with us, we’d like to take this time to thank you! We are a volunteer-run organisation and couldn’t continue to do the work we do without people like you. We are often looking for more members to join our team in a variety of positions. York LGBT Forum Volunteer Form Issue 1
We are currently looking for volunteers to fill the following roles:
Volunteer Gardeners – Volunteer gardeners needed for our Human Rights garden. This will take place on the 17th March and 5th April at Clarence Gardens, contact us via email above for more info.
School Awareness Training – We’re seeing volunteers to develop and deliver school-targeted LGBT awareness training. We have funding for this programme and we’re looking for a number of volunteers so don’t hesitate to contact us.
Independent Fundraisers – We are always looking for people to fundraise for us in a variety of different ways. If you’d like to be one of these people please visit our Support Us page for more information and fundraising ideas. We really value those who take the time to raise money for us. We couldn’t continue to run without people like you.
Sports Volunteers – We are looking for a sports coordinator to help us deliver one of our projects. You must have an interest in sport and able to organise groups. Apart from those two criteria the role has opportunity to put your personal stamp on it
Subgroup Volunteers – Do you have a particular interest? then why not join one of our subgroups. We have lots to choose from: Health and Wellbeing, Older People, Hate Crime, Trans, Bisexual, Schools and Young People, Events, Finance, International and Archives.
