Volunteering Opportunities with York LGBT Forum
If you’re thinking about volunteering with us, we’d like to take this time to thank you! We are a volunteer-run organisation and couldn’t continue to do the work we do without people like you. We are often looking for more members to join our team in a variety of positions. Check the list of opportunities below and if you’ve found something which fits you then email us @ firstname.lastname@example.org with the York LGBT Forum Volunteer Form (link below).

Independent Fundraisers – We are always looking for people to fundraise for us in a variety of different ways. If you’d like to be one of these people please visit our Support Us page for more information and fundraising ideas. We really value those who take the time to raise money for us. We couldn’t continue to run without people like you.
Active Leisure Volunteers – We are looking for a sports coordinator to help us deliver one of our projects. You must have an interest in sport and able to organise groups. Apart from those two criteria the role has opportunity to put your personal stamp on it

In this role you represent LGBT+ people and the concerns they have accessing health and social care services. The meeting may discuss confidential issues. It is also a good place for networking, joint project building and informing people of our work. You will report back to the Health and Wellbeing Subgroup Coordinator about what happened in these meetings. You will need to have good communication and confidentiality skills.
