York LGBTQIA+ History Month Day of Talks
We are excited to share that two of our trustees, Ian Holdsworth and Emily Roach are hosting a pair of talks.
Ian is speaking on Polari. A language that was used by many LGBTQIA+ people before partial decriminalisation (1967). Ian will explore the language and go through its history and development.
How bona to varda your dolly old eek! (Loosely translated as how nice to see you!)
This will be followed by Dr Emily Roach speaking on boybands and the pink pound at 11am.
